About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Civil Engineer to join our client's Business
Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, expanding the company's customer base, and driving revenue growth across the construction and renovation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop new clients, projects, markets, and business opportunities within the construction and renovation industry.
•Generate leads through networking, referrals, site visits, industry events, research, and direct outreach.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand project requirements and business opportunities.
• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations.
• Negotiate with prospects and follow up consistently to convert opportunities into business.
• Maintain an active business development pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
•Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
•Work closely with project and technical teams to develop solutions and convert opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts and secure repeat business.
• Achieve agreed business development, revenue, and client acquisition targets.
Requirements
- Requirements:
- • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- • 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, business development,
- sales, or a related industry.
- • Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, client acquisition, or relationship management.
- • Good understanding of the construction and renovation industry.
- • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- • Target-driven, proactive, and self-motivated.
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant CRM/business development tools.
- •Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
- • Must be able to commute conveniently to Ikeja, Lagos.
