About the role

SpaceTrade is hiring across its engineering and operations teams. This is a hybrid role based in Surulere, Lagos.

3+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer managing production environments strictly on AWS.
Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) and configuration management tools.
Strong knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration (AWS EKS) or ECS.
Expertise in CI/CD automation for mobile app delivery (Fastlane) and backend deployment pipelines.
Data Localization & Compliance Experience
Proven experience in architecting cloud environments that adhere to Data Localization, Residency, and Sovereignty laws.
Hands-on experience configuring regional data boundaries: VPC routing, AWS Control Tower guardrails, AWS KMS regional key management, and localized S3 bucket policies.
Working knowledge of international and regional financial security frameworks (PCI-DSS for card processing, NDPR/GDPR, local central bank guidelines).
System Security & Databases
Solid experience managing MySQL/PostgreSQL (Aurora), Redis caching layers, and database encryption at rest/in transit.
Strong understanding of zero-trust network principles, IAM role segregation, and secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager/Vault).
Prior experience with Fintech or Crypto infrastructure (handling webhooks from payment gateways, node RPC connections, or Web3 custody integrations).
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or AWS Certified Security (Specialty).
Experience using AWS Outposts or AWS Local Zones for hybrid or regional data residency compliance.
