About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality products, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods at competitive prices. This role requires a procurement professional with hands-on supermarket procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and good
knowledge of the Lagos market and supply chain.
Requirements
- • Minimum of OND in Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a
- Procurement Officer within a supermarket or retail business (mandatory).
- • Proven experience sourcing a wide range of supermarket products and managing supplier relationships.
- • Good knowledge of the Lagos market, supplier network, and major commercial areas.
- • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- • Ability to work independently and make sound purchasing decisions.
- • Male candidates are preferred for this role based on the client's operational requirements.
- • Willingness to reside in the company’s shared staff accommodation.
